What is startup September?

Run by Business Enterprise Centre NT, supported by the Northern Territory Government, and now in its third year, Startup September takes you from business idea to business launch in just 30 days.

In a series of practical workshops delivered by subject-matter experts, you’ll learn how to put together start-up costs and financial projections, how to register your business and name, how to create a marketing plan, make your website Google-friendly, how to market your business on social media, and finally you’ll be ready to launch with a business action plan.

Join us on Friday 29 August 2025 at Spain Place, Darwin as we kick off Startup September 2025 and celebrate 25 years of BECNT supporting Territory business!

This free event (4:30pm – 8:00pm) is a celebration of innovation, entrepreneurship, and community. Enjoy a market-style showcase featuring some of the NT’s most exciting businesses, from food and drink producers to fashion, tech, tourism, and social enterprise.

Guests can look forward to free food and drinks from Duke’s Café and Gaucho’s BBQ, live music and entertainment hosted by Dan Hilliard (Mix 104.9), and the exciting Pitch to Win competition, where local entrepreneurs battle it out for a startup prize pack.

There’ll also be a prize draw for free BECNT memberships, plus camels for photo ops!

6. Systems and Digital Tools - Darwin Innovation Hub, 16/09
